I strongly recommend this drama to people working in the medical field or people who want to be a doctor. A traditional acupuncturist from 400 years ago, Heo Im travels through time and meets a cardiac surgeon, Yeon Kyung in the modern world.
Heo Im is a real-life historical figure. This drama will make us think, “What is a true doctor?”

드라마를 보기 전에 제목이 눈에 들어왔다.
명불허전 뜻이 뭘까? 명성이 널리 알려진 데에는 다 그만한 이유가 있다라고 적혀있다.
이 드라마는 의사 지망생이나 의사, 의료계에서 일하는 사람들과 환자들에게 추천하고 싶은 드라마이다. 진정한 의사란 무엇인지? 환자는 어떤 마음가짐으로 치료를 받을 것인지? 동양의학과 서양의학, 과거와 현재, 드라마에서 나온 과거 실존 인물이었던 허준과 허임의 치료방식의 차이 등 많은 소재로 이야기를 이끌어간다. 아련한 사랑과 성공, 어렸을 적의 트로마를 사랑으로 치유하는 소재 또한 마음에 든다.
