Recently, E has Tics symptoms. So I searched internet that exercise may help to reduce it. My kids and I went to schoolyard. J told me, ” Mom, there’s steaming beansprouts smell!” I checked everywhere and I noticed two women smoking on a bench. One man over there told his kids, ” That is marijuanas smell. Let’s go to the other way!” I was so angry.
“How can they smoke in front of schoolyard? Do I have to call the police officer? ” But I heard that marijuanas is legal in here. But here is school zone.
While thinking about that, I bumped into the mom of F’s classmate. She told me that she couldn’t even go near the tennis court next to the schoolyard due to the strong smell of marijuana. There were dozens of men doing exercising there. They were also smoking it. She said that today is not the only day and so many times happened here.
“How can I raise my kids in this environment?” “How can it be legal?”
Unfortunately it is not easy but they should make it illegal near areas where kids play and hang out the most like the park and school yards.
It is illegal to smoke within 100feet of school or on the property of the school in NY. Also, smoking is prohibited within New York City’s parks, but some people do not follow the law. Thank you for your comment:)
