한국장에 갔더니 깻잎 모종이 다 팔렸다고 한다. 깻잎은 물만 줘도 잘 자라서 그러는지 인기가 많은 식물. 상추랑 고추 피망 모종을 사고 처음으로 딸기를 사봤다. 몇개월 전엔 아이 넷을 위해 장미, 블루베리, 블랙베리, 라즈베리 모종을 샀다. 줄기만 있었는데 벌써 잎이 새록새록 나온게 신기하기만 하다. 반나절 이상 온라인 수업을 하는 애들이 컴퓨터 앞에만 앉아있는게 걱정이 되었는데, 매일 뒷뜰에 나가 물도 주고 얼마나 컷나 확인하는 아이들을 보니 잘했구나 싶어 흐뭇하다. “아이들은 흙을 밟고 신선한 공기를 마시고 나가서 이렇게 자연과 접해야 해.” 아이들 왈, “엄마, 내 식물이 조금씩 자라고 있어!”

I used Ho-Mi(a Korean tool for the planting). This is so great for using planting because it helps to dig, making space, and removing pebbles and weeds. Comparing to regular garden hand tools, Korean Ho- Mi is definitely the best.
미국 일반 삽보다 훨씬 좋고 비교가 안되네. 파고 심을 공간 만들고 평평하게 다지고 잡초, 돌 제거에도 좋고… 강력추천!! 역시 한국 호미가 미국 아마존에서 불티나게 팔리는 이유가 있군.
